Brazil's iron ore exports fall in 2019
Brazilian iron ore exports decreased year-on-year in 2019 after sixth consecutive years of growth, says the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) in its monthly report monitored by Kallanish. Brazil’s export shipments, which had been increasing on an annual basis since 2013, decelerated last year mainly due to underperformance by the mining sector following the Brumadinho dam rupture in January 2019.
