Brazil's flats exports rise in December
Brazil’s flat steel exports rose on-month in December and, despite them dropping on-year, the country registered growth in flats shipments abroad in full-year 2022, Kallanish notes.
According to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data, exports of carbon flat-rolled plated and coated steel reached 42,000 tonnes in December, an increase of 97.2% compared to 21,300t in November 2022 but 39.1% lower on-year.
