Brazil’s ferrous scrap export volumes strengthen in July

Brazil saw ferrous scrap exports rise in July for a third consecutive month. Shipments were also higher year-on-year, Kallanish notes. Imports remained insignificant in the month. According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), scrap exports totalled 92,700 tonnes in July, an increase of 24,700t compared with June and 58.8% more y-o-y. The fob value of July shipments amounted to $33.9 million, up 26% from the previous month …
