Brazil’s February flats sales grow, outlook positive
Flat steel sales by Brazil’s distributors and service centres rose sequentially in February, Kallanish notes. They could also increase by 15% month-on-month in March. National steel distributors’ association Inda also estimates purchases should grow by 10% after they were weak in February.
In February, distributors’ sales totalled 300,700 tonnes, up 0.7% on January but 3.7% lower compared to 312,300t a year earlier.
