Brazil sets duties on Chinese steel plate/pipes
Brazil’s Foreign Trade Chamber (Camex) has renewed anti-dumping duties on thick plate in coil. It has also implemented a six-month provisional duty on non-alloyed carbon steel pipes originating in China, Kallanish learns from the country’s Official Gazette.
The tariff on the thick plate in coil was initially applied in January 2010 following a complaint submitted by local flat steelmaker Usiminas.
