Brazil’s AVB posts record second-quarter shipments
Brazil’s Ferroeste Group subsidiary Aço Verde do Brasil (AVB) has posted record sales in the second quarter, Kallanish learns from the company's latest operating report.
AVB’s April-June long steel sales were 100,296 tonnes, up 12.5% compared with the previous quarter and 11.3% higher compared with the same period in 2022. The company sold 1,247t of semi-finished steel to the domestic market in Q2, 50.4% more q-o-q but 95.6% weaker y-o-y.
