Brazilian police extend Brumadinho accident investigation period
The Brazilian Federal Police’s (PF) ongoing investigation into the cause of the Córrego do Feijão mine accident is being extended to June 2020. This was necessary due to “… the high complexity of the analysis to identify the causes of the rupture, and the difficulty to find experts in Brazil,” the authority explained in a meeting with media on 16 January monitored by Kallanish.
