Brazilian authority extends Brumadinho accident investigation deadline
The Brazilian Senate inquiry committee (CPI) has extended the conclusion of its investigation over the causes of the rupture of Dam 1 at Córrego do Feijão mine on 25 January by up to two months. This is according to a document from the CPI monitored by Kallanish. The accident left more than 248 people dead and 22 missing, according to the latest available information.
The commission's work will now continue until 25 October.
