Brazil’s August iron ore exports reach 12-month high
Brazil iron ore exports increased month-on-month in August, reaching their highest volume in the last 12 months, Kallanish notes.
According to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data, shipments abroad of iron ore reached 33.5 million tonnes, 5.3% more over July but down 3.5% on-year. This volume was the highest shipped abroad by the country since August 2021, when loadings reached 34.7mt.
