Brazil’s August iron ore exports hit 11-month high
Brazilian iron ore exports jumped in August, according to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data monitored by Kallanish.
Exports of iron ore reached 34.8 million tonnes, up 10.1% over July and 11.7% more on-year. The August volume was the highest shipped since September 2020, when the country exported 37.5mt.
In January-August Brazilian exports were 233.3mt, 11% higher on-year.
