Brazil’s ArcelorMittal Pecém reduces March slab exports
Brazil's ArcelorMittal Pecém (AMP) saw slab exports fall on-month in March, Kallanish notes. Shipments were however higher compared to the same month in 2022.
According to data issued by the local port authority, AMP’s March shipments abroad reached 188,007 tonnes, down 8.2% on-month but 8.8% higher versus the 172,793t shipped a year earlier.
Three-month exports reached 720,287t, up 23.1% compared to 585,053t in January-March 2022.
