Brazil’s 2020 semis exports sink to six-year low
Brazil saw its exports of semi-finished products fall year-on-year in 2020, reaching their lowest annual level since 2014, Kallanish notes. Semis exports also dropped for a fourth consecutive month in December.
According to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data, the country shipped 541,000 tonnes of semis in the last month of 2020. This was down by -31% on-year but 47.4% or 149,500t more compared to November.
