Brazilian steel imports/exports rise again in September
Brazilian steel imports continued to grow significantly both year-on-year and month-on-month in September 2017, according to data issued by local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB).
During the January-September period, imports of steel increased by 56.8% compared to the same period of 2016 to 1.83 million tonnes. Flat steel landings totalled 1.11mt in the ninth-month period, or 127.1% more on-year. Up to end-September 2017…
