Brazil’s September scrap exports move up
Brazilian ferrous scrap exports increased in September, reaching a four-month-high, according to Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data.
September scrap exports totalled 38,900 tonnes, up 25.9% compared to the previous month. This volume, however, was 47.1% down on-year. September shipments were the highest supplied abroad since April when the country shipped 71,900t, Kallanish notes.
