Brazilian scrap exports turning up in June
Brazilian ferrous scrap exports increased month-on-month in June. The volume, however, was far from that shipped in the same period in 2020, according to Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data monitored by Kallanish. Imports of the feedstock also rose in the month.
Scrap exports reached 45,600 tonnes in June, up 37.8% compared to May`s 33,100t. Shipments, however, were 40.5% down year-on-year.
