Brazilian flat product sales grow in April
Flat steel sales and purchases by Brazil’s distributors and service centres rose both on-month and year-on-year in April, Kallanish notes. Shipments in May, however, could decrease by 5% on-month, while purchases are seen almost flat.
April sales totalled 341,300 tonnes. This was 5.4% more than in March and 106.7% higher compared to the volume of 166,000t sold in the corresponding month in 2020.
