Brazilian steel imports dip in February

Brazil saw steel imports fall year-on-year in February, Kallanish notes. Import volumes year-to-date however remain slightly higher according to data issued by local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB). In February alone, imports of steel decreased by almost -2% to 158,000 tonnes compared to the same period of 2017.
