Brazilian pig iron output/exports rise in January
Brazilian pig iron production and exports increased year-on-year in January, according to data issued by the local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB) and monitored by Kallanish.
Pig iron output totalled 2.34 million tonnes during the first month of 2018. This was an increase of 2.4% y-o-y, but -3% less compared to 2.41mt in December 2017.
