Brazil, Mexico steel exports to US decline
Latin America saw steel exports to the US decrease sharply month-on-month and year-on-year in June. The regional supplies in this context include South and Central American countries along with Mexico.
The fall was mainly attributed to weaker supply from Brazil and Mexico. The South American country remained the main Latin American exporter to the US in June, with a 58.3% share, and the second-largest worldwide after Canada, Kallanish notes.
