Brazilian scrap exports swell in August
Brazil`s saw its ferrous scrap export surge year-on-year in August. Shipments however fell month-on-month, according to Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data monitored by Kallanish.
Exports of scrap reached 62,160 tonnes in August, up by 145.1% y-o-y or 36,790t more than in the corresponding period of last year. These however were -15.1% lower than the volume of 73,180t shipped in July. Over the first …
