Brazil drives Turkey's October hot-rolled flats imports decline
Turkey's hot-rolled (HR) flat steel imports decreased -20% on-year to 399,829 tonnes in October. Imports were mainly affected by the halt in intake from Brazil, compared to 57,140t sourced a year ago, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The total average value/tonne of October's imports decreased to $506/t from $475/t a year earlier, TUIK data calculations show.
