Brazil buys Turkish rebar, Singapore to follow
Turkish rebar mills have ramped up their activity in the global market.
One mill is heard to have sold 25,000 tonnes of rebar to Brazil at $665/tonne cfr. However, most of the material is 8-10mm diameter, which commands a price premium and costlier freight. The mill, expecting better market conditions in the coming week, is thereafter heard to have closed sales in both the domestic and export markets.
