Brazil approves dam safety law
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has sanctioned the Brazilian Congress project that tightens dam safety requirements for mining companies, Kallanish notes. The new law follows the rupture of Dam 1 at Vale’s Córrego do Feijão mine in Brumadinho on 25 January 2019.
