Bowim first-half earnings soar, foresees good second-half demand

Bowim’s sales rose 10% on-year in the first half of 2021 to 268,197 tonnes, as rising steel prices saw the Polish distributor’s earnings soar, Kallanish notes. The sales were driven by a 5% growth in sheet sales to 93,636t and a 14% hike in pipe and profile deliveries to 54,293t. However, rebar sales inched down 2% to 42,129t.
