Bowen on track to achieve coal production target
Australian coal miner Bowen Coking Coal is on the way to achieving its target of over 5 million tonnes run-of-mine (ROM) coal production in 2024, Kallanish notes.
The group’s Broadmeadow East mine in Queensland achieved steady-state production. The first coal export was a cape size vessel (154,000t) from Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal and a further 82,000t was shipped mid-March.
Regular shipments are planned from May 2023 onwards.
