Borusan posts first-half profit collapse despite higher revenue
Borusan Pipe’s sales rose 41.9% on-year to 619,000 tonnes in the first half, with 81% of revenue generated from international markets, Kallanish notes.
Consequently, consolidated January-June revenue increased 19.9% on-year to $940.7 million. Ebitda however declined 60% to $86m and net profit fell 84.2% to $20m.
Infrastructure and project segment revenue rose remarkably, to $488.4m, with Berg Pipe contributing significantly to the result.
