Construction demand lifts BMK’s second-quarter shipments

Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel's Beloretsk steelworks (BMK) increased shipments in the second quarter, the company says. BMK shipped over 96,000 tonnes of steel, up by 2% on-year, Kallanish notes. The main markets were the construction industry, engineering sector and the automotive industry.
