BMA to extend Caval Ridge mine life
BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) is seeking opportunities to extend the life of its Caval Ridge coal mine by 31 years.
Caval Ridge is one of nine metallurgical coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin. If BMA is not able to gain approval for the expansion, the Caval Ridge mine may cease production around 2025, Kallanish notes.
