Bluestone Coke fined for clean air violations
Birmingham, Alabama-based Bluestone Coke has been fined nearly $1 million by Jefferson County's health board for violating clean air requirements.
In a joint filing with the Greater-Birmingham Alliance to Stop Pollution (GASP) and the Southern Environmental Law Center, the Jefferson County Department of Health has issued a consent decree in order to stop the company's alleged pollution violations.
