Blockade threatens ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih stoppage
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih says coal procurement disruption as a result of the railway blockade in eastern Ukraine is threatening energy supply and raw material availability needed for steelmaking.
When raw material supply from eastern Ukraine was last blocked in 2014 Kryvyi Rih switched to importing its requirement; however, on this occasion there is a risk that imported material will not reach the steelworks, the firm says.
