Blastr eyes UK pellet plans after Norway stalls
Blastr Green Steel has signed a letter of intent with Redcar Bulk Terminal (RBT) to explore developing a pellet plant in Teesside, UK, which would supply feedstock to its prospective steelworks in Inkoo, Finland.
Blastr is aiming to set up a 6 million tonnes/year direct reduction-grade pelletising plant. Half of the production will be consumed by the Inkoo steelworks and the remainder sold by Cargill Metals on the merchant market.
