Blast furnace-based Trinecke Zelezarny eyes scrap consumption

Blast furnace-based Czech steelmaker Trinecke Zelezarny (TZ) used almost 800,000 tonnes of ferrous scrap in production in 2021, the firm says. It also recycles 100,000 t/year of separated metal-bearing fractions found in blast furnace slag, which can be used as a substitute for iron ore.
