Black Sea billet trade trickles on, prices slide
The Black Sea billet market continues to soften after a period of readjustment to lower ferrous scrap prices and general downward sentiment in all major markets.
Demand has picked up somewhat resulting in several sales of Russian billet in North Africa and notably China, but at lower prices in the past week, Kallanish observes. Turkish billet is not currently seen in the export market, but traders expect some sales may be concluded in the next coup…
