Black sea billet export prices follow Turkey lower
Russian suppliers of billet have had to adjust export prices, following the decrease of the local market setter in Turkey, market participants informed Kallanish.
On Wednesday, Turkey's Kardemir sold around 40,000 tonnes of billet to domestic customers at $520/tonne ex-works, excluding 18% VAT, down by $12/t to from $532/t ex-works on 27 September.
On the same day, an offer for Belarus-origin material was heard at $490/t cfr Turkish Black Sea.
