Black Sea billet export market plateaus
CIS billet export prices have stayed flat in the past week as mills kept offers to a minimum, with only Ukrainian material seemingly available in the market.
A medium-sized lot of Ukrainian billet was traded at $640/tonne fob Black Sea to the Mediterranean, as the scrap market continued to heat up in the region. Turkish scrap import price are expected to slightly exceed $500/t cfr Turkey for premium HMS 1/2 80:20 in this round of sales.
