Billet producers lower target prices in Oman, UAE
Billet prices are falling in the United Aarab Emirates and Oman due to a lack of rebar demand in export markets and lower-than-expected domestic rebar retail prices in the UAE. Oman’s Jindal Shadeed and Sohar Steel recorded combined rebar sales of nearly 30,000 tonnes in October in the UAE market, notes Kallanish.
