Billet prices improve in North Vietnam
Billet trading picked up this week in northern Vietnam, Kallanish understands. The billet market has been weak in Vietnam for some weeks now, trading and mills sources say.
Domestic billet prices have risen this week to VND 12-12.1 million/tonne ($527-531/t) excluding VAT for 130mm or 150mm sd 295 grade induction furnace billet. This represents a rise of VND 200,000/t. Prices for EAF billet are VND 100,000-200,000/t higher than induction furnace billet…
