Billet output remains subdued at Ukraine's Electrostal
Ukrainian electric arc furnace-based steelmaker Electrostal kept its billet output in 2020 at the level of 2019, Kallanish notes. The volume amounted to 84,000 tonnes.
In December the plant was idle, while in November it produced only 2,000t of product. In January-October production was 83,000t, up by 13.7% on-year (see Kallanish passim). In October output was 10,000t and in September it was 6,000t.
The company has not commented on the reason for the sharp declin…
