Billet output declines sharply at Ukraine's Electrostal
Ukrainian electric arc furnace-based steelmaker Electrostal increased production of billet in January-November, the company confirms to Kallanish.
Output amounted to 84,000 tonnes, up by 10.5% on-year. In January-October it was 83,000t, up by 13.7% on-year (see Kallanish passim). However, in November the plant produced only 2,000t, while in October output was 10,000t and in September it was 6,000t.
The company has not commented on the reason for the sharp decline…
