Billet exporters push up offers in ASEAN again
Suppliers have once again hiked offers for billet in the Philippines, Kallanish notes. This is in tandem with firming steelmaking raw materials and the buoyant Chinese futures market, trading sources say.
Prices had slipped at the start of last week. Offers for 5sp grade 130/150mm billet for end-October/November shipment for unspecified ASEAN/Chinese origin rose to $510-515/tonne cfr Manila. Later in the week, suppliers’ billet offers were at $515-520/t cfr.…
