Cyclone curtails BHP's first-quarter iron ore output
BHP's iron ore production declined by -5.1% year-on-year in the first quarter to 63.61 million tonnes, affected by Cyclone Veronica, according to the company's Q1 performance report. The firm also reported a -2.9% decrease in iron ore output from the previous quarter, Kallanish notes.
