BHP output slips in December quarter

BHP says its iron ore output over July-December 2019 was a little lower than expected due to maintenance. It also notes that the Samarco joint venture is preparing to restart, Kallanish notes. BHP’s iron ore production was up 2% year-on-year over the first half of the financial year to June 2020, at 121.4 million tonnes.
