Benxi slashes HRC export offers
On Thursday, northern China’s Benxi Steel Plates offered re-rolling grade hot rolled coil to Vietnam at around $15/tonne lower than the previous day. The offer is so far limited to the Vietnamese market and has not been followed by other mills. It could however be the first sign that China is aiming to regain some of its competitiveness on international markets, Kallanish notes.
