Benguet trebles net income on soaring nickel demand
Philippine Stock Exchange-listed miner Benguet Corporation has disclosed a net income of PHP 381.4 million ($7.93m) in 2020, up over 229.53% year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
Gross revenue rose 53.26% to PHP 1.25 billion. The recovery of the nickel business in Zambale was the main contributor to the company's results, as well as the higher price of gold.
