Benelux scrap softens further following cheaper Turkish booking
Scrap prices in the Benelux continued their downfall on Monday, following the EU-origin booking concluded at $364/tonne cfr Turkey towards the end of last week, Kallanish notes.
As this booking confirmed that prices are unable to recover in Turkey despite European exporters’ issues in sourcing scrap and the stronger euro, Benelux suppliers have been forced to further decrease their dock prices.
