Benelux scrap prices soften in Turkey’s absence
Turkey’s withdrawal from the imported scrap market has caused dock prices in the EU to soften.
Most exporters are observed to have decreased their dock prices by at least €5/tonne ($6). As a result, dock prices, which stood at €210-217/t a week ago, have decreased to €205-210/t ($241-247) delivered, while exporters are seen not to be rushing to buy in Turkey’s absence.
