Benelux scrap prices rise amid strong domestic demand
Scrap prices in the Benelux rose further last week due to demand outpacing supply following the unexpected rise in domestic mills’ scrap demand. Export demand, on the other hand, remained slow after the withdrawal of Turkish mills from scrap purchases.
Dock prices for HMS 1&2 80:20, which stood at €203-207/tonne a week earlier, appear mostly at above €205/t ($243) delivered today. Collectors, however, are seen to be targeting €210/t delive…
