Benelux scrap prices to strengthen further
Scrap prices in the Benelux increased sharply last week following the cancellation of export tax rebates on certain products in China.
Following the cancellation, demand for rebar and billet, which was already strong in Asia, has soared. With sentiment turning strongly bullish, Turkish mills’ demand for scrap has also accelerated, leading to a surge in prices.
