Benelux scrap market activity to resume
The Benelux scrap market is expected to pick up this week following very low activity since mid-December due to the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Although yards’ collection prices have not yet completely settled, some yards are heard to have increased prices due to the urgent need of sourcing material. However, most yards’ collection prices remain unchanged at €225-230/tonne ($252-257) delivered for HMS 1/2 80:20.
