Benelux scrap dock prices struggle, exports decrease
With Covid-19 spreading fast in Europe, scrap collection has slowed significantly, while in Italy it has completely stopped.
Scrap demand has also decreased in line with collection as a result of virus-induced mill closures, and Benelux dock prices have not moved since collapsing a week ago. They currently stand mostly at €150-160/tonne ($165-176) delivered.
